Enter the most you are willing to pay. We bid on your behalf in set increments, only as high as necessary to keep you in front, and tell you the moment you are outbid. Your maximum is never shown to anyone.
Increments grow with the price: $2 under $100, $10 from $250, $150 from $1,000, $1,000 from $10,000. The “from” figure is inclusive, so a bid of $100 is followed by $105.
A bid placed in the final two minutes extends that lot by a further two minutes, so a sale never ends on a single last-second bid.
A buyer's premium of 28% is added to the hammer price of every lot. Applicable sales tax is calculated on the delivery address at checkout.
Winning bidders are invoiced within 48 hours of the sale closing, and payment is due in full within 7 calendar days. We accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, wire transfer, cashier’s cheque, money order or personal cheque. A four-month payment plan is available.
The buyer pays all shipping costs. Icons ships in-house using FedEx or USPS, quoted to your delivery address and added to your invoice.
Lots marked “special shipping required” — furniture, standing sets, large signage — we cannot ship. You arrange a third-party shipper to collect, and we can recommend one.
Lots are dispatched from Florida depending on where the piece is held. We do not provide shipping insurance; if you want a piece insured in transit, arrange it with an insurer directly.
Every lot ships with an Icons Certificate of Authenticity carrying a tamper-evident anti-counterfeit hologram and a unique serial number, which stays verifiable for the life of the piece. Where several items sell as one lot, a single COA covers them all.
Pieces are described as acquired from the production of a title unless our documentation supports a stronger claim. Where a lot is described as screen used or screen matched, that claim is recorded against evidence held on file.
We would rather under-describe a piece than overstate it.
