Our story

We recover what productions leave behind.

When the cameras stop, wardrobe and props have to go somewhere. For two decades that somewhere has been us — and what we do with them afterwards is the whole business.

FLWhere we are
20+Years

Most production assets are thrown away, sold in a weekend for nothing, or left in a unit until someone stops paying for it.

Icons of Pop Culture exists because none of those outcomes is good enough. A costume worn in a film that people love is a piece of cultural record. Handled properly it goes to someone who will keep it. Handled badly it goes to a landfill.

We started by buying what studios were clearing and selling it on. We grew into the thing studios call first — a partner that takes the whole problem, catalogues every piece, photographs it properly, and puts it in front of the people who actually want it.

That means we are two businesses at once. To a studio we are logistics and asset sales. To a collector we are the reason a jacket from a favourite film is hanging in their hallway with paperwork that proves where it came from.

What we actually do

From the stage door to a collector's hands

Ten steps, all of them ours. This is the part that is hard to do well and easy to do badly, and it is why a studio calls us rather than a clearance company.

02Sorting

Sorted by production, department and value on arrival.

03Photography

Where we are

One facility. Nationwide pickup.

Icons of Pop Culture is a Florida business, and everything we hold is held in one place — which is simpler for us and better for you. One intake process, one set of standards, one team who knows where every piece is.

Florida

Intake, photography, cataloguing, packing and long-term storage, all under one roof.

Nationwide collection

We travel to productions and collections wherever they are. Where the pieces start has never been the constraint.

Domestic & international buyers

Everything ships from Florida via FedEx or USPS. International buyers cover their own customs and duties.

How we work

Four things we will not compromise on

We describe what we can prove

A piece is described as acquired from the production of a title unless our documentation supports more. Where we can prove screen use, we say so and record the evidence. The market is full of inflated claims; ours are deliberately conservative, and that is the point.

Every piece is catalogued before it is sold

Nothing goes out of the door without a record: what it is, where it came from, who handled it, what condition it was in. That record is what makes a certificate worth anything.

Certificates stay verifiable

Serial numbers are permanent. If a piece we sold in 2019 changes hands in 2031, that owner can write to us and we will confirm it. A certificate that cannot be checked is just a printed card.

We pack it ourselves

Shipping is where good pieces get ruined. We pack in-house, insure at sale value, and do not hand that job to anyone else.

Two ways in

Buy a piece, or send us one.

Collectors start with a current auction. Studios and consignors start with a conversation.
