Settlement is 30 days after the sale closes, and only on lots where the buyer's funds have cleared. We do not pay out on money we have not received.
Buyers pay 28% on top of the hammer price. That premium is ours and does not appear on this statement — your commission is calculated on hammer alone.
The figures above are hammer prices. What the buyer actually paid was higher.
One lot is held back. Lot 091 sold, but that buyer is paying over four months. We settle it the moment their final payment clears, on a statement of its own — expected December 2026. Nothing about that lot is at risk; it is simply not money we hold yet.
Commission is calculated on the hammer price. The 28% premium the buyer pays is ours, and showing it on a consignor statement only invites an argument about whose money it is.
A lot on a payment plan cannot settle until the money is in. Saying so plainly — with the date — is the difference between a consignor waiting patiently and one who thinks they have been short-paid.
Every statement with an unsold lot on it ends with a decision for the consignor: re-offer, return, or lower the opening. That one line is what turns a settlement into the start of the next consignment.
